Succinate, a small molecule identifiable in blood, shown to help predict cardiovascular disease in young people
Researchers from the University of Granada (UGR) and the Institut d'Investigació Sanitària Pere Virgili (IISPV) in Tarragona have identified that blood levels of a small molecule, succinate, could help identify young individuals at high risk of cardiovascular disease. The study offers a novel insight into the field of biomarkers of cardiovascular risk.
